Frequently asked questions
How do I book an appointment?
You can book an appointment through this website by going to the Book Now tab. You can also book by calling 412-527-4331 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Do you accept insurance?
Physio412 is a fee-for-service provider. That means that you pay for your services upfront.
We do not participate in any insurance networks.
If you have out-of-network benefits then you can submit a receipt (provided by Physio412) to your insurer for possible reimbursement. All it takes is a quick and painless call to your insurance company to discuss your out-of-network benefits and the steps you will need to take to submit for reimbursement.
Also, if you have an HSA or FSA you can pay for services with this card.
Why pay cash?
At Physio412 we don't agree with insurance companies dictating your care. We believe your care is individual to you and should be a decision between you and your physical therapist.
This shouldn't be a decision made by a person sitting behind a desk trying to meet insurance company demands to deny your visits. The insurance model stands in the way of quality care.
In traditional physical therapy clinics, you will find that you are often double or triple booked with other patients during your appointment time. Clinics do this because reimbursement rates from the insurer to the provider are continuously dropping and they need to figure out ways to keep the lights on. The easy solution is to see more patients in less time.
Physical therapists in this model aren't afforded the time to assess you each visit and tweak your care accordingly. This means less quality care, with more visits than necessary and more dollars spent.
At Physio412, we believe in dedicating our time to you. Every visit is one-on-one with a highly trained physical therapist.
This allows you to get back to feeling your best quicker than you could imagine. It also means less overall visits and less dollars spent.
It's a win-win!
What is your cancellation policy?
Physio412 requires at least 24 hours notice when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment.
Patients who provide less than 24 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee. The fee will be 100% of the amount for the scheduled appointment missed.
Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists' day that could have been filled by another patient.
It is important to be on time for scheduled appointments. If you are late for your scheduled appointment, you may only be treated for remaining time within the scheduled appointment. It is up to the discretion of the therapist to cancel an appointment if arrival is later than 20 minutes of appointment start time and will be subject to cancellation fee.
A waiting list is used for those that would like to make an appointment with Physio412. Therefore, the earlier you make adjustments to your schedule, the earlier that appointment can be filled by those in need. It is important as you might benefit from a cancellation in the future.
Our policy is to be fair, not only to Physio412, but also to other patients on our roster who might like to be seen.
Although our scheduling program is automated to send a reminder email and/or text of appointment times, there can sometimes be a glitch in the system. It is the patients' responsibility to know when the appointment is and to arrive on time. Please check with Physio412 to confirm if needed.
Note that if late cancellations or late arrivals to scheduled appointments become a chronic occurence, we reserve the right to cancel remaining appointments and offer to patients who are committed more clearly to physical therapy.
Special cancellation circumstances will be considered.
Do you accept HSA or FSA?
We do! You can pay for all services with your HSA or FSA.
If the funds in your account are the "use it or lose it" kind of funds, then you can purchase whatever services you think you may need in advance and use them whenever you want throughout the year.
Do I need a doctor's referral?
No. You do not need a doctor's referral for treatment. The state of Pennsylvania allows Physical Therapists with a direct access license to treat patients for 30 days from the first treatment without a physican's referral.
