So you’re interested in strength training, but don’t know where to start. Or you’ve dabbled in weight-lifting, but need some direction. Maybe you’ve never picked up a dumbbell heavier than 5lbs.  


Picking things up is a part of our everyday. We lift groceries, kiddos, move boxes and carry laundry baskets.  Our bodies need to be prepared to do this repetitively and under load to reduce the risk of injury no matter what age.  


We sit down and stand up every day.  This is essentially squatting, right? But how come some people go from being able to get out of a chair perfectly fine to not being able to do it at all?  It’s because they don’t train or challenge their bodies to squat repetitively or under load. It’s true if you don’t use it, you lose it.
